Copfurn Shooting Ground is located on the Margaretting Road, Margaretting, near Chelmsford, Essex.

As you'll see from the map link above the venue is 2 minutes away from the A12 at Margaretting & 3 minutes from the A414 west of Chelmsford.

From the A12 exit at Margaretting & head towards Writtle, Copfurn is approx 2 miles on the right.

On the A414 from Ongar heading towards Chelmsford there are two roundabouts a mile apart before you reach Chelmsford. Turn right at the 2nd roundabout, signposted to Margaretting. We are about 3 miles down the road on the left.

The shoot is an English Sporting layout, 80 birds shot over 10 stands. Trophy & birds only classes are available. The shoot operates on the Claymate system, so if you are on your own you can use the solo delay features to launch the clays easily.

There is a hard standing car park of a limited size, & grassed parking for 4w/drives, so please car share when possible. Parking on the main road outside is not permitted at all.

Hot & cold refreshments available on site.

Plastic & fibre wad cartridges can be used, 24 or 28 gram only, nothing heavier, no exception.

Open from 10:30am until 2pm.

Please note that shooting finishes at 2pm on the dot!
