The trophy below will be engraved with Team Barrow Heath as winners for 2017,  it will be on display at the Essex Shooting Ground.

A raffle was held to raise funds for Colin’s favourite charity, Guide Dogs For The Blind.

£390 was raised from the raffle, well supported by everyone, thank you very much. We doubled the £390 to make £780. Phil Moss very kindly added £20 to make a nice round £800 for the charity. A big thank you to Hazel & Alan Pomfret & Pete Goodwin for their help with the raffle, would have been impossible without them. Hazel did a first class job of selling the tickets & preparing them for Colin’s Grandchildren to pull winning tickets out of the bucket at the end of the day. An equally big thank you for the raffle prize donations. Pete Goodwin brought a Jack Pyke shooting bucket / seat full of shooting goodies to raffle with him, very kindly donated by RoeFireArms of Benfleet. Pete also arranged a pass for a day at the races for 2 in Kelso, kindly donated by Tracy Meston. Roger Hill kindly donated a shooting lesson. Various bottles of drink appeared on the table to add to the raffle, not sure where they all came from but John Hall provided the Champagne I think, thanks John.
