Facilities at the ground have recently been updated,  we  have 2 skeet ranges, 1 down the line layout & an 90 / 120 bird sporting layout open. The targets on the sporting layout are changed regularly.  

The skeet, DTL & sporting layouts have Claymate solo release equipment installed, so that you can shoot on your own without having to press release buttons at the same time. 

Clays are charged at 24 pence inc VAT per target on all disciplines.

Cartridges & refreshments are available during opening hours. 

New faces are always welcome, tuition is available for beginners & experienced shots alike by appointment. 

Individual tuition costs  £49 ( approx 1 hour ) including 50 clays & 50 cartridges on weekdays only.

  Wednesday  11am until 3pm 

 Thursday   11am until 3pm 

 Friday  12pm until 4 pm 

 & on alternate Saturdays  11am until 3pm 

Please note we're not permitted under current planning restrictions to open on any Bank Holiday Holidays at the Essex Shooting Ground.
